Effective date: September 9, 2026
Gezzio helps users create and edit travel routes, discover places, track active trips, receive travel notifications, and use AI-assisted travel features.
Gezzio uses foreground location for nearby places, maps, route creation, weather, and active-trip guidance while the app is in use. The release build does not request background location. Users can deny or revoke access in system settings at any time.
Before the first cloud-AI transfer, Gezzio explains that the user's prompt and relevant route, place, location, and preference context will leave the device and asks for permission. If permission is declined or later withdrawn, cloud-AI requests are disabled; non-AI features remain available.
Cloud-AI requests pass through the Gezzio backend to the provider configured for the feature. Supported providers are Google Gemini, OpenAI, Groq, DeepSeek, OpenRouter, and Together AI. Gezzio does not intentionally add an email address or account ID to a provider prompt, although user-supplied text can contain personal information.
If permission is declined or withdrawn, future provider requests are blocked by both the app and backend. Saved-route, map, social, and deterministic features that do not require cloud AI remain available. Permission can be withdrawn in Profile → Settings → Cloud AI data consent and is not silently restored.
Withdrawal affects future processing and cannot automatically reverse lawful processing that already occurred. Account deletion and data-rights requests are separate processes.
Gezzio resolves user-shared public URLs and discovers public travel sources for route/place research using its own readers; Apify remains a budgeted fallback. Accessible source text and transcripts can be analyzed to identify places and create travel summaries. After the applicable cloud-AI consent, media analysis may send up to 8 images and sampled frames and audio from one accessible video up to 3 minutes to Google Gemini. Video downloads are bounded to 24 MB before preparation. Raw media is processed temporarily, not published as social media in Gezzio. Derived media observations and source analyses can be reused for 7 days; link-extraction results can be reused for 30 days. Source/place summaries and source links selected for routes may persist separately. Provider retention follows the provider account terms, not these Gezzio cache periods.
Each third-party service processes data according to its own privacy terms.
Gezzio does not sell personal information. Product analytics is disabled when no production analytics key is configured. If analytics is enabled, Gezzio limits events to product interactions and avoids sending prompts, authentication tokens, email addresses, or precise location as analytics properties.
This validation release has no active purchase flow and does not implement cross-app advertising tracking.
Account, profile, route, preference, social, and moderation data may be retained while an account is active. Records required for security, fraud prevention, dispute handling, or legal compliance may be retained only for the period required for that purpose. Device-only settings remain on the device unless removed by the user or operating system.
Users can delete their account directly in the app (Profile → Delete Account). Deletion removes associated backend account data and revokes sessions, subject to the limited retention described above.
Users without the app can use the public account deletion page. Verification links are short-lived and single-use. Provider erasure retry records contain only the minimum encrypted identifier needed to finish the request.
Routes or comments deliberately shared publicly may be visible to other users. Gezzio provides reporting and blocking controls and may retain moderation records needed to investigate abuse and enforce service rules.
Gezzio is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Depending on applicable law, users may also request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection concerning their personal data. Requests can be sent to the support address below. Users may also lodge a complaint with their local data-protection authority.
